From Sugar Oasis: Nobushina Naharu has always wanted to become a famous detective. Her dream is to set up a "Detective club" at school, but the teacher requested that a club has to have at least four or more club members to be considered a club. So then, when she has finally gathered 3 other partners, she realizes that they are getting weirder and weirder one by one.
Momoko is a girl who was born into a witch family in which most of its female members possess magics. Yet they can only reveal their magical capability to "the one" i.e. their soul mate / spouse. The more magic she uses in front of strangers, the more parts of her body would become cat-ish (such as cat ears and whiskers), and if any stranger learns her true identity she would turn into a cat completely--like her mother! Having joined the magic club in her school, Momoko has used her ability too often that her cat ears pop out every once in a while so she must find "the one" as soon as possible, but her candidates have already become suspicious...

From Sugar Oasis: Kou and Yukako have been friends since elementary school but over the years Kou has fallen in love with his childhood friend and when he found out that she was moving as a result of her family mounting debts he was devastated at the prospect of losing his best friend and the woman he loved. That was back in junior high. A few years after their separation, Kou and Yukako meet again. Kou is happy to see her after so many years apart but at the same time shocked at how frail and thin she has become. The strong genki little girl he knew was gone and in her place stood a half-starved homeless girl forced to steal to eat.
This manga is quite old--it's from 1957. It centers around three members of the table tennis club at an all-girl school. Though it may not quite be yuri, it's a precursor to current yuri manga.
